On October 5th, 350 Loudoun members Jennifer Alves and Maria Bergheim were among a total of 23 issued summons for trespassing after they blocked the gate leading to the Governor’s mansion in Richmond. The protestors, included students, veterans, clergy, Virginia River Healers, and other Virginians from nearly every part of the state.  Lead by Chesapeake Climate Action Network for 3 days of picketing, 350 Loudoun members carried banners past the Governors Mansion that read “Governor McAuliffe: Yes You Can, Stop the Pipelines”  to voice their opposition to new natural gas pipelines, coal ash storage and dumping.
