Virginians, have you ever wished that for even a single day you could abdicate your responsibilities, and underachieve like Governor Northam, and David Paylor’s Department of Environmental Quality(DEQ)?
Here’s your chance! Inspired by the underachievers who have failed to order a stream-by-stream water crossing analysis on the Atlantic Coast Pipeline (ACP) and the Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP), 350 Loudoun presents:
“An Underachievers 0.5k Marathon and Fundraiser – Inspired by Gov. Northam and DEQ Director David Paylor”
On September 8th, 2018 our event will begin at 1 PM to allow for sleeping in and a leisurely breakfast (after all breakfast is the most important meal of the day). We’ll begin with a short rally, including speakers from frontline communities, followed by the costume contest then the 0.5k marathon!
Prizes will be given out for the following costume categories:
– Most underachieving costume
– Least underachieving costume
– And one more… why not
That’s it! In true underachiever fashion, that’s all the costume categories we came up with.
Location: Twinpanzee Brewing Co – 101-D Executive Dr, Sterling, VA 20166
Time: 1:00 PM to 2:30-ish
Cost: $20 gets you registered, $35 gets you registered and the best t-shirt our underachievers could design.
Proceeds benefit front-lines communities fighting the ACP and MVP. Sponsorship opportunities are available and 350 Loudoun appreciates everyone’s help promoting the event. That means guilt your friends and family into walking with you and the other underachievers. Let’s send some help to pipeline fighters (because the Governor surely isn’t) and have a fun time doing so!
